A Division Order is a document prepared by Prima Exploration, as operator, stating the owner’s interest type, pay code, and net revenue interest (NRI) in a well or wells. Please note that a Division Order does not alter any previous agreement or lease agreements between the Payor and the Payee.
As of January 25, 2024, Prima Exploration will utilize EnergyLink for all our Revenue statements.
If you do not currently have an account with EnergyLink, enrollment is simple. Go to the website and select the "New to EnergyLink" hyperlink under the Login button. Please have your owner number and most recent payment amount available.
**NOTE REGARDING OWNER NUMBERS**
Prima recently went through a software conversion which required a modification of owner numbers. If the owner number you have on file begins with the number 1, please use that same owner number, but add a 5 in front of the 1 (ie. change 1xxxx to 51xxxx) when you register for EnergyLink. If that does not work, please contact Prima for assistance.
Revenue checks will be issued by the 25th of each month. Check detail will be available on EnergyLink around the same time.
Prima Exploration issues a revenue check at the end of the month only if the amount in the account has reached $100.00 or more. Once your account reaches $100.00, a check will be issued in the next accounting period.
Prima now allows you to opt into ACH for revenue payments. Are you interested in receiving your revenue checks via direct deposit? If so, please print the Prima ACH form, complete all fields, and mail it to the address at the bottom of the form. You must also send in a voided check that includes routing and account numbers, and a W-9 form. If you are unable to print this form, Prima can mail you a copy. Call 303-755-5681 and select 1 to reach Prima’s Land Department.
For a royalty interest use the following formula:
MINERAL INTEREST x (TRACT NET ACRES / SPACING UNIT ACRES) x ROYALTY RATE PER LEASE = NRI
Prima Exploration now uses EnergyLink for all our Joint Interest Billing statements.
Invoices should be available on EnergyLink the last week of the month following the production month. Working interest owners with overdue JIB accounts will be set up for revenue netting and can only be removed at the discretion of the JIB department. Contact Prima if you have questions.

Per Federal Law, we are required to have a Tax ID or SSN on file. If not, a 24% tax withholding will be applied and will not be refunded by Prima Exploration. If you have recently provided Prima Exploration with an updated W-9, you do not need to provide an additional W-9 unless there are any changes to be made to your account.
Prima Exploration pays per record title, and through our title review there may be a title requirement that needs to be resolved before the interest is placed in pay. Please refer to the Division Order or contact Prima’s owner relations for more information about your unique circumstance.

Once the above documentation is received and reviewed, Prima will issue Division Orders and W-9s for the new owners to complete, and then process an ownership change. Please allow 60-90 days for the ownership change to take effect.
Please provide a copy of the recorded conveyance document. Once reviewed, Prima will issue a Division Order and W-9 to the new owner(s). Please allow 60-90 days for the ownership change to take effect.
Please provide a copy of the recorded conveyance document where the Joint Tenancy is established. For removal of owner due to death, please provide a copy of the recorded death certificate.
Please provide Prima with a copy of the recorded conveyance document where the Life Estate is created and the remaindermen are listed. Please provide W-9s for the remaindermen. Click here for a blank W-9.
Please provide Prima with a copy of the recorded conveyance document where the Trust is funded. Please also provide a W-9 for the Trust.
Please provide Prima with the pertinent pages of the trust listing the Trustee(s). If applicable, please provide resignation of Trustee or death certificate. Lastly, if the tax ID has changed, please provide Prima with a new W-9.
Please provide Prima with a new W-9. Please note that a new owner number may be created internally.
Please provide Prima with a Certificate of Merger with statement of the surviving company, as well as a new W-9.
Please provide Prima with a certificate of Name change. Please also complete and send in a new W-9.
